Unleashing Freedom (Project Freedom)

A collaborative 21st century new musical project, inspired by the activism of African American abolitionists, Project Misik: Unleashing Freedom seeks to advance racial justice by voicing, through the creation of new musical compositions, the historical contributions and reverberations of various communities’ African American residents and activists, teaching this largely still unsung history -- location based stories of our community’s ancestors -- to those of us living and working now.
